Eco Tours are free and available from May through September on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11AM to 1PM and on Tuesdays from 12PM to 1PM.
Tours are about 40 minutes to an hour in length depending on the group size (not including lunch) and are best suited for children ages 5 and up. Habana staff will work with you to ensure that your group has a customized, age-appropriate experience.
The Eco Tour
A member of the Habana Works team will lead your group on a dynamic eco–themed tour of Habana Outpost that highlights the restaurant’s green design features, sustainable artwork, recycling/compost station, garden and more. In addition to the tour, your group may also enjoy the following participatory activities:
Volunteers from your group will have the opportunity to make a fruit smoothie by peddling Habana Works’ human-powered Bike Blender. All students will receive samples.
This activity may be modified for 5 to 7-year-old-groups.
Your group will learn about the array of native plants and herbs in Habana’s gardens—and have the opportunity to plant a new one. A stake with your group’s name on will be inserted next to the plant so your students can visit it throughout the season and watch it grow.
Lunch (associated cost)
We encourage your group to join us for lunch during the tour and experience Habana Outpost’s delicious food! You may pre-order from the restaurant’s regular menu, kid’s menu, or catering menu, using our online Eco Tour registration form.
To book an Eco Tour, please take a moment to complete our online registration form and a member of the Habana Works staff will contact you shortly to confirm your visit.
