Thanks, Captain Planet!
Exciting news, everyone!
As most of our supporters know, Habana Works relies on the donations of individuals and foundations to deliver our programs to the community. Despite our reach, we are a grassroots organization with a small staff and an airtight budget - making an impact and also finding the find to fundraise can be quite the challenge to nonprofits of our size!
That's why it is with such great pleasure that we can announce that the Captain Planet Foundation will be contributing quite generously to Garden Works this year, in support of our work with Leadership Prep! The Atlanta-based organization funds hands-on projects that promote environmentalism among children, and lucky for us, they're now reaching out to the New York area! We couldn't think of a better match in terms of mission and dedication to widespread education - in fact, watching Captain Planet as kids probably subconsciously influenced us all to become the planeteers we are today.
While we couldn't be happier to have CPF's support, there's still tons of work to be done to make sure that we can make the greatest possible eco-impact on Brooklyn! To help Habana Works reach its goals and make this year's work possible, please visit our donation page to make a gift of any level. It's quick, it's painless, it's 100% tax deductable, and it makes makes a huge difference in the lives of kids right here in your neighborhood.
Thanks again to the good people at the Captain Planet Foundation - we promise to make you proud!
Go planet!
