It’s that time of year again! Habana Outpost is gearing up to kick off another great season of good food and good times with the 2013 Habana Works Earth Day Expo! On Saturday, April 13th we’ll be opening our doors for the first time this year to celebrate the Habana Outpost restaurant re-opening and Earth Day! The expo will be a day filled with eco-friendly fun – Habana style of course.
Habana Works is the non-profit branch of the Habana family, all started by Sean Meenan, which provides free, hands-on programs that celebrate urban environmentalism in the Brooklyn community. Each year we invite various organizations to participate in our Earth Day event, from composters to beekeepers to sustainable retailers and many more!
The Earth Day Expo is an opportunity for our neighbors to join us in spreading the love by participating in the Earth Day program while sharing resources and ideas about sustainable living! The Earth Day Expo also marks the day when Habana Outpost will re-open the restaurant for 2013. The day will be filled with fun, learning, and food!
The Earth Day Expo will involve a variety of guests, who also promote environmentalism and social responsibility. Please check back for a complete list of participants and activities!
Looking forward to seeing you there!
